04 Feb Bilingual Barcelona Playdates from The Nanny Line
Treat your family to a special kind of afternoon by attending one of The Nanny Line’s upcoming bilingual Barcelona playdates scheduled for this spring. We have partnered with some of our favorite kid-hangouts in Barcelona and will be filling them with our rock-star nannies and babysitters. The Nanny Line is Spain’s premiere international nanny and babysitting agency, serving Barcelona, Madrid and Ibiza. The first playdate event will be held on February 29th at Kiddzz in the Gracía neighborhood of Barcelona.
Why a Bilingual Playdate?
Our multilingual nannies and babysitters will be speaking both Spanish and English at our playdate events. There will also be multilingual families attending, so your children will also get some foreign language exposure, something shown to be helpful in bilingual language development. Researchers have shown that infants and young children who are exposed to more than one language from a young age have certain learning strengths, such problem-solving. Younger children’s brains have the easiest time learning a second language between the ages of 0-3 years old. At The Nanny Line we love our international community of families and have so much fun bringing together children and parents from around the world to learn and grow with each other.
Another benefit of attending a Nanny Line Barcelona playdate event is that both you and your children will have a chance to get to know some of our amazing, qualified, multilingual nannies. This will be helpful for when you want to book one of the babysitters again in the future. Your children will be so excited to see them again! No more stranger-danger or new-babysitter jitters! We pre-screen all of our nannies and babysitters before hiring them. Once hired, they all go through first aid training.
Coming soon to a Ludoteca near you!
Do you know what a ludoteca is? Or the difference between a ludoteca and a guardaría? Ludotecas are some of our favorite places to play with children in Madrid and Barcelona. They are specialized indoor/outdoor play spaces for children. In Spain, gaurderías are day-care or preschool centers for children who are not yet old enough to attend grade school. You can read about some of Madrid’s ludotecas in our prior post.
We love ludotecas because they offer multilingual community spaces for families like yours, looking to get out of the house! Don’t worry if you can’t make it to Kidzz on February 29th. We will offer several more multilingual playdates in the months to come, so stay tuned!
